Chapter end
Although I have a rough idea of where the story goes, I'm going to take a break to fine-tune the script and build up a page buffer again.

Comic updates will resume July 5! If that changes for any reason, I'll let you know.

I love everything about your art. You do anthro in a way that I've rarely seen in decades- the characters look like they stepped out of a children's book. Their expressiveness and depth of characterization is also uniquely excellent. Your colors are very appealing, too.
I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the idea that these characters, especially the ones who are supposed to be sympathetic (like Bea) are apparently perfectly okay with their boss eating other sentient life forms. Or that the townspeople haven't shown up to Mr. Bad's pad with torches and pitchforks. I'm willing to accept fairy tale logic (Red Riding Hood, et al) but something about this also seems uncomfortably rooted in the real world. If his rep is all bluster, then he still has accomplices who aren't doing anything to dispel the myth. I will keep an open mind and look forward to hopefully exploring this more (and, of course, as a writer it's prime real estate for you to make a splash.) Gorgeous work all around and I look forward to more.

Thank you so much for the compliments! The character designs and setting were heavily inspired by the art in old children's books/fairytales, I really wanted them to be unique and come across that way.

You hit the nail on the head: balancing the tone between fairytale/reality has been hands down the biggest challenge in this comic. That's partly the reason I wanted to take some time to tighten up my script; because the next chapter is actually going to confront and explain the 'eating' issue. I'm hoping it's going to clear a lot of things up. Thank you for the extremely perceptive and constructive comment, it really helps to get that perspective as a writer! I appreciate you keeping an open mind and suspending your disbelief as I fumble through this!

Jokes on her. She wasn't even on the menu for that evening!
