I did some early 19th century bathroom research for this comic. There's a sentence I didn't think I'd say in my lifetime.

My prediction for next page:
As soon as Bijou is in the bath water, a hole opens beneath the tub, and fire comes out of it. Turns out that this is actually a cauldron!!

I can appreciate that you've got a historically accurate bathroom. Sometimes doing a bit of research makes all the difference.
